Waterford Badminton Club

Waterford Badminton Club is based in Ladylane at the heart of Waterford city. We cater for all levels of play from beginners to advanced and also have a thriving juvenile section for under 19’s. So if you’ve every thought about giving badminton a go, now is the time! Our schedule is as follows:



Adults (All at Lady Lane):

Tuesday: Clubnight        7:15pm - 9:15pm Cost €5
Wednesday: Beginners   7:15pm – 9:15pm Cost €5

Thursday: Clubnight       7:15pm – 9:15pm Cost €5
 

Juveniles:

Monday:  Development Squad 6pm to 9pm Carrickpherish  SportsHub (Eircode X91 YK12)

Cost €10

Tuesday:  Girls Only Training (aimed at increasing teenage girls  participation in badminton)  

Ursuline Secondary School,  Waterford 

6.30pm to 8pm

Wednesday: Development Squad 6pm to 8pm

Friday: Ursuline Secondary School Waterford  

6:00pm – 7:15pm (Younger Juvenile Players) 

7.15pm - 8.30pm (Older Juveniles)

(Juveniles are advised to attend the Friday session first and they will be directed from there to the correct development group) ​

Sunday - Juvenile Match Practice - Lady Lane 

10am to 11.15am - Younger Juveniles 

11.15am - 1pm - Older / More Advanced Juveniles 

No charge if you have attended one of the earlier sessions in the week - otherwise €5.

On Wednesday nights (7.15 pm to 9.15 pm) we run the beginners night for adults where a coach is present. This offers participants a chance to develop at their own pace with players of a similar standard. If you have never even held a racket before this is the place to start!



We also run club nights on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7.15 pm to 9.15 pm which are intended for players with a little more experience. These nights are open to all members to come along and play, however we do require beginners to attend the Wednesday night sessions first to develop some proficiency and confidence on court.



Waterford Badminton Club membership also entitles you to book any of the two available courts 7 days a week 365 days of the year for €8 per hour. So if none of the above sessions suit you can book something that works for your own schedule.
